CityKids Repertory Company
The CityKids Repertory Company (Rep) is a critically-acclaimed performance company made up of diverse young people, ages 13 -19, from all over the New York metropolitan area. Rep members create and perform their own hip, exciting musical, dance and dramatic pieces that share powerful messages with young people and adults.
Rep adds instant energy to school assemblies, community events, conferences, and festivals with engaging and entertaining live performances. Recent performances include a guest appearance in Disney’s Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra Special (which aired nationally on the Disney Channel), halftime at a New York Knicks Game, and a stop on Oxygen Media’s National Tank Tour.
All performances can be tailored to meet theme, time requirements, and audience demographics, as the following partial listing of appearances demonstrates:

Founded in 1985 by Laurie Meadoff, The CityKids Foundation is dedicated to teaching young people to be leaders. Through programs focusing on youth-to-youth communication, Safe Space, multicultural bridge building, leadership development, and community organizing, CityKids learn to communicate positive values to their peers and engage in problem-solving and decision-making processes that include themselves as part of the solution. CityKids shares its powerful messages via grassroots programs, television appearances, in-school workshops, live CityKids Repertory performances, videotapes, books, events, focus groups, and other innovative youth communications.
