Youth Spotlight: Kanzada Juste-Rep Performer, Youth Leader, and Role Model
Kanzada Juste came to CityKids (CK) three years ago to attend an Open Mic performance. Since then, she has developed into a young leader, role model, and performer. During her three years at CityKids she has participated in several programs including CityKids in Training, CityKids in Action, Community Service projects, Job Readiness, College Prep, and the Youth Leadership Conference. She also serves as a dance captain for the Repertory Company.
Kanzada credits CityKids in helping her mature, become versatile in her views and friendly. Because of this, she advises other young people to take advantage of the opportunities CK provides and stay open-minded to the new experiences to come. As she prepares to graduate from high school and transition into college, she plans to major in dance and theater, and minor in psychology. In ten years, Kanzada says she will remember everything about CityKids- the staff, the programs, and the young people. In addition, ten years from now, Kanzada will be developing as a successful choreographer. |
